Honolulu, on the island of Oahu’s south shore, is capital of Hawaii and gateway to the U.S. island chain. The Waikiki neighborhood is its center for dining, nightlife and shopping, famed for its iconic crescent beach backed by palms and high-rise hotels, with volcanic Diamond Head crater looming in the distance
Waikiki is an iconic beach, dining and nightlife area. West of Honolulu is Pearl Harbor, site of the WWII’s 1941 bombing attack and home to the USS Arizona Memorial.
Itinerary: Honolulu, HI
Today, we are starting our tour at Honolulu, HI and you can choose to be picking up from Waikiki-area hotel. If you wish to be picking up outside of Waikiki-areas, please advise your pick up address when check out. ***Please note that surcharge may apply for picking up outside of Waikiki.
Today our first stop of the day will be Pearl Harbor, HI, where we will learn about the attack the catapulted the United States into World War II. After that we will go to the USS Arizona Memorial and drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific(courts of the missing), also known as the Punchbowl National Cemetery.
Then we will return to Honolulu, HI to take a tour of the city that highlights its status as the Hawaiian capital. We will see the Honolulu Hale, State Library and Archives, ‘Iolani Palace, Kawalaha’o Church, Mission Houses Museum and the Statue of King Kamehameha I.
At the end of the day, we will conclude our tour in Waikiki-areas. Please advise your drop off address when check out.
