The city’s British colonial past shows in its Victorian architecture, including stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion. Butchart Gardens, with 55 acres of vivid floral displays, plus statuary, water features and a carousel, is one of many formal gardens in the city.

 

Itinerary: Vancouver, BC  Victoria  Butchart Gardens  Vancouver, BC

Today we are going to explore Victoria, BC and the famous Butchart Gardens. You can choose to be picking up from Vancouver-area or Richmond-area hotel. If you wish to be picking up outside of Vancouver-areas, please advise your pick up address when check out. ***Please note that surcharge may apply for picking up outside of Vancouver.

First, we will be taking ferry from the Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal to Victoria, BC. Our day will be spent touring this city by stops on our tour include the Butchart Gardens, Beacon Hill Park, and BC Parliament Buildings. The city’s British colonial past shows in its Victorian architecture, including stately Craigdarroch Castle mansion. We also will visit the famous Butchart Gardens, which is with 55 acres of vivid floral displays, plus statuary, water features and a carousel, is one of many formal gardens in the city.

At the end of the day we will take the ferry back to Vancouver to conclude the tour. Please advise your drop off address when check out.

Butchart Gardens

The Butchart Gardens is a group of floral display gardens in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia,
Canada, located near Victoria on Vancouver Island. The gardens receive over a million visitors each
year. The gardens have been designated a National Historic Site of Canada.

Beacon Hill Park

Beacon Hill Park is a 75 ha (200 acre) park located along the shore of Juan de Fuca Strait in Victoria,
British Columbia. The park is popular both with tourists and locals, and contains a number of
amenities including woodland and shoreline trails, two playgrounds, a waterpark, playing fields, a
petting zoo, tennis courts, many ponds, and landscaped gardens. The land was originally set aside as
a protected area by Sir James Douglas, governor of the Colony of Vancouver Island in 1858.

BC Parliament Buildings

The British Columbia Parliament Buildings are located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada and are home to the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia. The Speaker and the Sergeant-At-Arms are amongst those responsible for the legislative precinct, which by statute include the Parliament Buildings and grounds. A statue of Queen Victoria stands on the front lawn as well a statue of a soldier to commemorate the province’s World War I, World War II and Korean War dead. Atop the central dome is a gold-covered statue of Captain George Vancouver.
