Temecula is a city in Southern California. It’s known for the surrounding Temecula Valley Wine Country, with its hillside vineyards and many golf courses. The city’s Old Town area has 1800s buildings, antiques shops and restaurants. The Temecula Valley Museum has displays on regional history and the author Early Stanley Gardner. San Diego is a city on the Pacific coast of California known for its beaches, parks and warm climate. Immense Balboa Park is the site of the renowned San Diego Zoo, as well as numerous art galleries, artist studios, museums and gardens. A deep harbor is home to a large active naval fleet, with the USS Midway, an aircraft-carrier-turned-museum, open to the public.
Day 1: Los Angeles, CA Temecula San Diego, CA
Today, we are starting our tour at Los Angeles, CA and you can choose to be picking up from Downtown Los Angeles-area hotel. If you wish to be picking up outside of Downtown Los Angeles-areas, please advise your pick up address when check out. ***Please note that surcharge may apply for picking up outside of Los Angeles.
Our first stop of the day is Temecula, which is known for the surrounding Temecula Valley Wine Country, with its hillside vineyards and many golf courses. The city’s Old Town area has 1800s buildings, antiques shops and restaurants. Please advise which winery you wish to have wine tasting and lunch when check out so that we could make arrangement for you in advance. ***Please note that wine tasting fees is not included.
After the tour, we will continue to San Diego where we will spend the night. Our hotel arrangement will be 20 – 30 minutes away from Downtown.
- Economy Hotel: Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Chula Vista South Bay or similar hotel
- Standard Hotel: Holiday Inn Express San Diego South – Chula Vista or similar hotel
- Deluxe Hotel: Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina or similar hotel
Day 2: San Diego, CA Los Angeles, CA
After comfy stay at the hotel, you will be picked up from hotel and we are going to explore the city of San Diego.
First, we will visit U.S. Naval. USS Midway. After lunch, we will go to Coronado Island and visit the Hotel Del Coronado. Next we will move on to Balboa Park. After, we will visit Old Town San Diego and Seaport Village.
After the tour, you could take the San Diego Harbor Cruise which you will see the famous southwestern city of San Diego like never before, and may even catch a glimpse of the naval base! In the evening we will drive back to Los Angeles along the Golden Coast.
After the tour, you could either choose to be drop off at the Los Angeles International Airport or Los Angeles-area hotel. We will conclude the tour in Los Angeles, CA.
***The 2019 San Diego County Fair opens May 31 and runs through July 4. The Fair will be closed Mondays and Tuesdays in June. The San Diego County Fair is held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, it’s one of the largest county fairs in the country. You can also adjust your itinerary for San Diego County Fair visit on Day 2.

Wow, the harbor cruise is a beautiful big ship and lots of places to sit and enjoy a gorgeous view, and the USS Midway you could spend a whole day if you wished to, so much to see. I hope to come with my kids again, i think they would enjoy it too.
